What if I could wear kinesiology tape as clothing? - It would be so much easier!
My first experience with kinesiology tape was because of my back pain. Although it was effective, but it wasn’t easy to use. You need to learn how to use it correctly and I couId not reach my back on my own and it was a concerning with all the waste tape would produce.
That’s when I came up with the first idea for Wavewear Activewear UK : “What if I could wear Kinesiology tape as clothing?”

We put everything into creating *WaveWear UK*—years of R&D, countless hours of testing, and our own experiences as athletes.
As dedicated *CrossFitters, HYROX competitors, endurance runners, and obstacle course racers, we’ve felt the brutal toll these high-intensity sports take on the body. **Joint fatigue, muscle strain, knee pain, lower back issues, and injuries* are constant battles when you push your limits in *functional fitness, triathlons, ultra-running, and extreme endurance events*. But despite the physical demands, we couldn’t find a brand that truly supported athletes like us—so we created one.
That’s how *WaveWear UK* was born.
We first turned to *kinesiology tape* to manage pain and prevent injuries, but it had its downsides. *Applying it correctly was tricky, reaching certain areas was impossible alone, and it generated a lot of waste.*
So we asked ourselves: *What if we could wear kinesiology tape as clothing?*
That simple idea led to the innovation of *WaveWear UK—performance wear designed to provide the same support as kinesiology tape but without the hassle.
